MOMAR manufactures specialty industrial cleaning, maintenance & sanitation chemical products at its production facility in Lansdowne, Cape Town. These products are sold in bulk directly to the end user. The products offered provide solutions to our customers’ maintenance problems, saving on their operating costs and making for a better and safer work environment. MOMAR Products serve the needs of almost every business or commercial enterprise – from food processing areas to washrooms, workshops, hospitals, hotels, schools, supermarkets, offices, construction, mines, municipalities, etc.
The South African company, Cansa Pty Ltd trading as MOMAR, was founded in 1969, under license to Momar Inc. in the USA. It is an independent SA Company, which has benefited fully from every aspect of the American Company’s expertise. There are similar, independent MOMAR licensees located in the United Kingdom, Central America, Far East and Australia.
MOMAR is ISO 9001:2015 certified, has several of its products SABS tested and certified, and is a long-time member of the ISSA (International Sanitary Suppliers Association) based in the USA.
Momar continues to strive to improve its BBBEE Status Level, and in this regard, the Company has entered into Enterprise Development Agreements with qualifying Beneficiary Businesses.
Upholding the wellbeing of the environment and the health of those in the workplace is upper most in Momar’s consideration of what products to manufacture and where and how they should be used. Cost is never sacrificed at the expense of product safety and quality. Momar is fully committed to safeguarding the environment, which has resulted in the introduction of its Greenaction Product Range. These products have been tested by the US EPA Design for the Environment (DfE), and have been certified as meeting all the DfE Safer Product Recognition Program criteria.
